Cr George Greiss has been a Councillor with Campbelltown City Council since 2008 and was elected as Mayor in 2022. During his time as a Councillor, he has been heavily involved in strategic planning and policy development for the city.
George is committed to our city’s aspirations for the protection of our natural environment and believes we must strive to balance this with the continued evolution of the built environment while protecting and ensuring a sustainable future for our most valuable natural environmental resources.
George is also passionate about improving our open space infrastructure to ensure residents have access to high-quality amenities and access to public spaces. He is also a strong advocate for the economic needs of the city and the important role that Campbelltown plays in contributing to the prosperity of the broader Western Parkland City.
In addition to his role as Mayor, he has served three terms as a Metropolitan Board Director on the Local Government NSW Board He holds a Master’s degree in Property Development, a Master’s degree in Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and is a Ph.D. graduate in Geography and Urban Studies at Western Sydney University.
Proceedings will commence with registrations at 6.30 pm for a 7.00 pm start time and finishing by 8.30 pm.
