Ingleburn Business Chamber’s Guest speaker for October 2024 will be the Local Member of Parliament – Anoulack Chanthivong
The Hon. Anoulack Chanthivong MP was first elected as the Member for Macquarie Fields in 2015 before being returned to the position in 2019 and again in 2023.
In 2023, he was appointed Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading; Minister for Industry and Trade; Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology; Minister for Building; and Minister for Corrections in a Chris Minns NSW Labor Government.
He was Shadow Minister for Finance and Shadow Minister for Industry and Trade in June 2021. He has served as a member for the Legislative Assembly Committee on Environment and Planning since May 2015.
Before entering NSW Parliament, Mr Chanthivong worked as an economist for more than 13 years. In 2004, Mr Chanthivong was elected to Campbelltown Council and served as Mayor from 2011-2012 during his 12 years in local government.
Mr Chanthivong completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Sydney University and later undertook postgraduate studies in economics and public administration at the University of Sydney and the London School of Economics. He is currently a candidate for PhD at the University of Sydney Business School.
