Thank you to each of our three guest speakers at our November Chamber meeting. All very informative information and of assistance to those in attendance.
Kate Stares, Strategic Partnerships Manager at Campbelltown Council, provided a detailed presentation on the current transport systems in our area and what is suggested by the Department of Transport and what submissions Council has made to greatly improve the systems especially to the new Western Sydney International Airport. As a matter of interest our Chamber has also made a submission as to improving those systems and connecting to the Airport.
Lauren Nicholls, head of Policy and Analysis at the Western Sydney leadership Dialogue, provided a short presentation on the current state of Manufacturing in Greater western Sydney and then a question and discussion session on rebuilding manufacturing. Good questions and many good suggestions were provided.
Jim Baldwin, Director of Planning at Campbelltown Council, then provided details on the current make up of the newly elected Councillors and their group associations.
Three very interesting and each different presentations for the members and guests.
We also held a moments silence for the very recently departed Libero (Fred) Soldatic. Fred was both a Life member and long term member of Our Chamber. He will be sadly missed’.
