Tribute to LIBERO (FRED) SOLDATIC

Fred Soldatic was a very decent person. He passed away on 2nd November 2024.

Fred was born in Jesenovik Croatia on 4th March 1938. He came to Australia as a teenager..

He arrived in Ingleburn with his wife Daisy in 1968. At the time he was a person of limited funds but a desire to succeed.

Over time Fred became part of the Ingleburn community and a local business owner. He joined the Ingleburn Chamber of Commerce in 1973 and continued as a very strong member up until his declining health forced him to step back.   He was awarded Life membership of the Chamber for his strong involvement and support for the local area.

During his time with the Chamber Fred was consistently on the Board in various capacities – President, treasurer, secretary and director.

Fred was one of the main advocates for the Ingleburn Alive festival (famous for the thong throwing and wheelbarrow races) and for the establishment of the Ingleburn Policing Centre.  He also campaigned strongly for Ingleburn’s outdoor café dining.  He was very proud of the outdoor dining in Ingleburn as it reminded him of Europe.

Fred was constantly in contact with Federal and State MPs and Local Council personnel seeking improvements for Ingleburn.

Fred will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace.
